==Modus operandi== <!--Describe how the group operates. -->Intended as the start to a movement of publicly accountable superheroes without secret identities, New Wave was meant to be much bigger than it ultimately was. The death of Fleur put an end to the groups upwards trajectory and stalled them at the level of a small town super team, supplementary to but independent of the local PRT. In the field, they run into logistics issues based on the ability of some of their number to fly while others cannot. Nonetheless, they knew how to fight as a team to the point where opponents believed it was instinctual. In modern day, New Wave's jurisdiction is the south end of downtown and the Towers. All members except Amy Dallon had schedules for patrolling their area, especially when Brockton Bay was under a state of turmoil. Most notably, they went after Empire Eighty-Eight hard in an attempt to get them out of the area and inspire others to reject the Empire. For example, their efforts helped a young Theo Anders realize he didn't like the Empire. Members of New Wave also checked in on crisis points (e.g., people who had really bad days), albeit to a lesser extent than the PRT.
