Upperhand can copy the general nature of powers within his vicinity that have any form of 'output',<ref name="SB1">[https://forums.spacebattles.com/posts/19718375 Discussion with Wildbow archived on space battles]</ref> and his ability to create powerful hypergravity effects emulates that same output.<ref name="list">[https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1pgn9rgYutpBqJg1lSBP3NHnq9WK4ToLq9K4ys_I4cRc/edit#gid=0 Wildbow's Parahuman List]</ref> This allowed him to easily pulverize targets. If he was up against a blaster who shoot lightning balls, Upperhand could throw spheres that applied his hypergravity effect at the blaster and would likely win.

If the output of a copied power is not usable for Upperhand, there may still be "flaky side benefits."<ref name="SB1" />
