Suffering from the recent loss of Hero and the absence of Alexandria, the Protectorate core team put up a poor resistance, and damage was widespread, devastating Naples and the surrounding cities.  The extensive damage to the Vatican City may have played a role in this group adopting a religious theme.  Whatever the case, a group of seven members calling itself the Enders made its first appearance in Atlanta, Georgia, celebrating the attack, Hero’s death, and what they described as the imminent end-times.  The outrage and the depictions of the rampant damage spread through the media.<br><br>Recuperating from its heaviest losses to date in an Endbringer attack, the Protectorate was slow to respond.
