With much of the Nines experienced members killed or captured at [[Brockton Bay]] the group was forced to go on a recruiting spree to keep their numbers up. They let in a flood of new members to make up for the deficit. They also focus on acquiring tinkers to hasten the end of the world as such they headed to Boston.<ref>[[Interlude 19.x]]</ref>

Lucky for the Nine Blasto is at the accord holding that Damsel elects to attack.
