Skirmish in Boston consisted of a series of engagements between Defiant, Dragon and the Slaughterhouse Nine with The Ambassadors and their Guest caught in the middle.
Prelude[edit]
With much of the Nines experienced members killed or captured at Brockton Bay the group was forced to go on a recruiting spree to keep their numbers up. They let in a flood of new members to make up for the deficit. They also focus on acquiring tinkers to hasten the end of the world as such they headed to Boston.<ref>Interlude 19.x</ref>
As part of the agreement on recruiting Damsel of Distress they took time to attack Accord's Ambassadors and Accord himself.<ref>Eclipse x.8</ref>
At the same time over the last few hours things were falling apart in Brockton Bay.<ref name=19.4>“It’s worth noting,” Legend said, “That we tracked Manton down. He and Siberian’s master are the same person. Dragon and Defiant have a bead on the Nine. They expect a confrontation to start soon.” - Excerpt from Scourge 19.4</ref>
Battle[edit]
Lucky for the Nine Blasto is at the accord holding that Damsel elects to attack. Having been situated there as part of a long term scheme of Accord's.<ref>In Accord’s defense, he was planning on framing Blasto, and not letting the tinker get to the point where he really finished a dangerous project; let him start working, get caught up in things, and then disappear, leaving a message for the heroes so they can stumble on the guy with piles of classified material and a possible Endbringer-in progress (note how the place is nice, but it’s not Accord’s real headquarters, as they were described in the last chapter of Migration).
I was going to have something like that in there, but couldn’t find a place for it at the end that wouldn’t kill the tempo. - Comment by Wildbow on Interlude 19.x</ref> Blasto is abducted.
Aftermath[edit]
The groundwork is laid for the The Slaughterhouse Nine-Thousand and the End of the World.
