Alongside Sophia Hess and Emma Barnes, Madison was a member of a trio of bullies that had favored targeting Taylor Hebert.

Personality

Madison's bullying tended to be more juvenile than Sophia and Emma's. She was one of the few students to be friends with Sophia.<ref name="cast">Cast Page</ref> Taylor felt an ugly, sour feeling when she saw her looking at her. She helped Sophia pour juice on Taylor, laughing "like it was the funniest thing in the world".<ref name="1.01">The three of them were laughing like it was the funniest thing in the world, but the sounds of their amusement barely registered with me. - Excerpt from Gestation 1.1</ref> Madison was popular because boys liked her and she had friends. Taylor speculated that guys liked Madison because she was appealing without being intimidating.<ref>The clothes I wore didn’t show skin, and I didn’t deck myself out in bright colors like a bird showing off its plumage.

Unlike Emma and Sophia, Madison would come to feel remorse for her actions after learning that Taylor was Skitter, and aspired to become a better person. Post-Gold Morning, and during her queries into Taylor's fate, Madison admits in an online conversation with Victoria Dallon that she felt responsible for Taylor's descent into villainy and for the people Taylor would go on to hurt. Though Victoria chastises Madison for her actions, she stresses to her that she was only partially responsible, reasoning that Taylor very likely had plenty of bearing over her own decisions.

Appearance

Taylor described Madison as 'adorable', cute, or petite — a late bloomer. She "played up" her cute appearance with her clothing and and a "cutesy" attitude. She had shoulder length brown hair, which she typically wore sky-blue pins in to accent it.<ref>Madison was talking with her friends.  She was popular, but not gorgeous in the way the stereotypical popular girls on TV were.  She was ‘adorable’, instead.  Petite.  She played up the image with sky blue pins in her shoulder length brown hair and a cutesy attitude. - Excerpt from Gestation 1.1</ref>

History

Background

Madison's parents were young-looking, with her mother being similarly petite.<ref name="5.4">Only Madison’s mom was really petite like she was, but both her mom and dad looked really young. - Excerpt from Hive 5.4</ref>

Madison helped to bully Taylor as a member of the Trio, and helped set up the Locker Incident.<ref name="cast" /><ref name="I19">Interlude 19.z</ref>

At some point, she encountered Point_Me_@_The_Sky and a number of other heroes at a photoshoot, alongside Emma and Sophia. The three of them made fun of a disabled girl who was at the photoshoot, alienating most of the heroes.<ref>FlippinMad: You said ‘This was such a nice night and you c-words had to spoil it by being disgusting.  Come on.’

FlippinMad: and then you walked away and most of the heroes and heroines went with you or whatever.  Leaving just me and Emma and a couple of others.

When Taylor and the Trio were called in to discuss punishment for their behavior, Madison was accompanied by her parents. Post-Leviathan

Post-Slaughterhouse Nine

Madison appeared in Taylor's visions as she was trapped by Echidna.<ref>I could hear Madison tittering.  Sophia was silent, and her presence was all the more ominous for it.  I’d done something reprehensible to her.  I couldn’t recall what it was, but I knew she was here for retaliation.

Madison contacts Point_Me_@_The_Sky anonymously on Parahumans Online, looking for information about Taylor Hebert. She has already done a great deal of research, but turned up limited information. She is apparently planning to become a teacher.<ref>Point_Me_@_The_Sky: Carry it.  Take it with you and use it as motivation to make things better.  We need a fucking lot of that motivation.
