Modus operandi[edit]

The intent of the group is that of a defense force for Earth Shin against other Earths.

Structure[edit]

Amy and Chris combined their abilities to make the troops of the initiative. The clones have low intelligence and are compelled to do the bidding of their superiors.

The clones cannot eat and require maintenance.<ref>“I think they die, eventually. They’ll need upkeep. They can’t eat. They burn through power. But eventually is a long time. Maybe a year. They can do a lot of damage in the meantime, and I don’t know if they can be controlled.”

“How are they controlled?”
[...]
“I don’t know. I think that lies with Lab Rat. Remote piloting. Implants. From what Amy said, some would have to be biological imperatives. Like instincts, but more focused. Salmon knowing they have to swim upstream, even if they haven’t done it before."- Excerpt from Sundown 17.9</ref>

History[edit]

The Second Shin Crisis[edit]

The Red Queen and Cryptid began creating the clones. The Gibborim Knight was sent to fight the Machine Army which drew the attention of the Wardens and the Kronos Titan, the latter of whom intercepted the Knight and attacked him.

After negations with the Wardens and Victoria Dallon, Red Queen agrees to switch the Gibborim Knight with disposable minions of The Mother of Mothers. Dauntless let them pass.<ref>Sundown 17.6</ref>

The Ice Breaks[edit]

When freshly titan-turned Hunter immediately started slaughtering Shin forces, The Gibborim Knight and the Goddess-clone assisted in fending off her and helped the other capes escape. However, labs for the giants production were irrevocably lost in the catastrophe.<ref>Sundown 17.z</ref>

Amy Dallon retreated to the Wardens, but Chris Elman continued to command the SDI against Titan Arachne.<ref>Lab Rat was digging his heels in, using the giants my sister had helped create to protect Shin from Arachne. - Excerpt from Radiation 18.9</ref>

When Titan Fortuna directed her attention towards Earth Shin portal Chris and the giants joined heroes in fending her off, leaving The Giantess to deal with Arachne alone.<ref name="II19.4">Infrared 19.4</ref> Chris sent The Gibborim Knight, The Mother of Mothers, and The Mathers Giant into overdrive, so they were able to occupy the Titans on their own.<ref name="II19.5">Infrared 19.5</ref><ref name="II19.6">Infrared 19.6</ref>

With Chris returning to the Breakthrough, Giants continued fighting on the behalf of The Wardens,<ref>“Cryptid gave us access to the giants he helped create. They’re helping.” - Excerpt from Infrared 19.z</ref> with The Giantess and The Mother of Mothers joining the assault on The Simurgh and Machine Army,<ref name="II20.1">Last 20.1</ref> and The Mathers Giant being used as a counter-measure inside the Wardens' HQ.<ref name="II20.2">Last 20.2</ref>

The Mathers Giant was used against the capes in the fight against the Simurgh.<ref>Last 20.5</ref>

Ward Epilogue[edit]

The Giantess delivered some unspecified troubles to Earth Shin, presumably going out of control, due to Cryptid's arrest by The Wardens.

Earth Shin strikes a deal with The Wardens to ensure that Amy Dallon will not return to them either.<ref>Tattletale’s voice was quiet. “She’s not coming back because there are people who don’t want to let her. Shin just dealt with their Giant Goddess problem, they wanted assurances from your leadership that they didn’t have to worry about her. - Excerpt from Last 20.end</ref>
