He is a combination of King and Hatchet Face.

Appearance[edit]

Tyrant is an exaggeratedly tall and muscular man with a wild mop of dark hair. He has an overly square jaw, massive hands, and a Neanderthal brow. His most defining feature is his own name, 'Tyrant', tattooed across his chest.<ref name="26.3">Sting 26.3</ref>

Abilities and Powers[edit]

Tyrant had the powers of both King and Hatchet Face, although somewhat diluted. He had King's ability to transfer physical harm done to himself to anyone he had touched within a certain time period, though it's unknown exactly how long compared to the original. He also had Hatchet Face's power nullifying aura, though his range was shorter and took proximity to fully kick in.<ref name="26.5">Sting 26.5</ref> From both capes, he inherited enhanced strength and durability.<ref name="26.3"/>

The conjunction of Tyrant's powers made him a terrifying opponent, able to completely ignore physical damage and nullify nearby parahumans that could potentially bypass that defense.<ref name="26.3" />

History[edit]

The Slaughterhouse Nine-Thousand[edit]

Tyrant was created by Bonesaw, cloned using DNA from Hatchet Face and King. He was used in a hostage situation that was engineered to test the heroes.

Though able to nullify the powers of most of the inside attack team, Tyrant was taken out by several bolts from Foil, guided by Weaver after Kid Win opened a hole in the building for her. Foil's physics-defying power bypassed King's ability, killing him after piercing his brain, spine, and heart.<ref name="26.3"/>
