Shatterbird is a member of the Slaughterhouse Nine
Background:
Shatterbird was born in the Arab Emirates and dosed with a Cauldron formula, prompting the manifestation of her powers and the deaths of thousands. She eventually made her way to London, then America, joining the Slaughterhouse Nine.
Personality
Jack described her as pretending to have civility, but growing restless when things got quiet. He also describes her of having the driving motivation of seeking validation. Alec describes her as being a control freak.
Appearance
Shatterbird is Middle Eastern in appearance, wears a helmet of colored glass that covers the top part of her face, and a flowing garment of glass shards on her body.
Abilities and Powers
Shatterbird has the ability to manipulate silicon through high-frequency sounds. It gives her essentially perfect control over every piece of glass within multiple city blocks of her location. Often, she will use this ability to make every piece of glass in a city explode violently to announce the arrival of the Slaughterhouse Nine.
In areas closer to her, Shatterbird has finer control of glass, using it as a sort of psychokinetic way to create projectile weapons, makeshift shields, and even to control the glass in her outfit to give her the ability to fly.
History
Supposedly, Shatterbird's induction into the Slaughterhouse Nine was the last time more than one of its "candidates" survived the Nine's tests, and she presumably won her place in the Nine by killing the other candidate(s).
