Appearance

Nessa is, in Taylor's words, a blonde with measurements like a Playboy model. As Fenja, she wears Valkyrie-style armor that features countless steel wings, as well as closed-face helms.<ref name="5.1">Hive 5.1</ref> She also carried a spear.<ref name="9.6"/> After she joined the Chosen, she carried a shield in one hand and a spear in the other.<ref name="12.2">Plague 12.2</ref><ref name="9.6"/>

Abilities and Powers

The same power as her sister,<ref name="5.1">Hive 5.1</ref> a breaker ability that allows her to shrink incoming attacks proportionately to her size.<ref name="9.6"/> When Fenja is first introduced, Taylor describes her power as giving her the ability to "grow to be three stories tall", and become "a hundred times more durable".<ref name="5.1"/> When she was six times as tall, she was taller even than Leviathan and took only a sixth of the damage in addition to the benefits of being taller. She and her sister were considered strong enough to go toe-to-toe with Leviathan.<ref name="8.4">Extermination 8.4</ref>

Menja was eventually forced to leave Brockton Bay, with the rest of the Chosen, due to pressure from outside Villain groups.<ref name="16.5">Monarch 16.5</ref>

She relocated her team to Boston, recruiting Niflheim and Muspelheim along the way, there they interfered with the plans of Accord to such an extant that the arch villain was forced to seek outside help.<ref name="I19x">19.x (Donation Interlude 1; Blasto)</ref>
