At some point, Epoch approached Cauldron. He paid a premium for a high-quality Cauldron vial and then drank it<ref name="WoG1"/> - the same vial as Grey Boy and Perdition.[citation needed] He became the leader of the Adepts.<ref name="21.7">Excerpt from Imago 21.7</ref><ref name="23.1"> Excerpt from Drone 23.1</ref> At some point he encountered Grue, who disliked his power.<ref name="WoG1"/>
