Heartbreaker is a supervillain based in Montreal. He's a major player in the region and internationally infamous.
Power
Heartbreaker's power is emotional manipulation. He can cause long-term to permanent emotional changes to anyone who is in range of his power. He has been shown using both love and terror.
Regent believes that his power gives him some protection from Heartbreaker's.
Group
Heartbreaker's group consists mainly of women manipulated by his power into loving him and his children. All the women in the group love and worship Heartbreaker to the extent that Taylor describes it as cult-like. They serve uncondiontionally, following all of Heartbreakers commands. Heartbreaker has sired many children with his followers, with the desire to intentionally trigger as many as possible to increase his strength.
Children
Heartbreaker has more than 18 children, including Regent. All of his children are well taken care of and he will do anything to get them back if they are taken from him. Unfortunately, they are emotionally neglected and sometimes subjected to Heartbreaker's power as a form of discipline.
Heartbreaker's goal appears to be forming an army of capes out of his children. He would set up trigger events for his children at least once a year after they turned eight. Regent says that he was the fourth child to show powers.
The abuse has made at least Regent a sociopath.
According to Cherish all of his children can control people in one way or another. Regent controls nervous systems, Cherish can detect and change emotions over a long range, Guillame can sense what anyone he touches does for a long period of time, and Nicholas can inflict massive amounts of terror on his victims.
Trivia
- Despite not appearing in the story in person, he is tagged at the bottom of the chapters. This suggests that he will appear later.
