| ===Brockton Bay Brigade:===
| | [Coming Soon] |
| The Brockton Bay Brigade was a standard, unofficial superteam founded by the three siblings Sarah Pelham ([[Lady Photon]]), Carol Dallon ([[Brandish]]) and Phillip Sartin ([[Lightstar]]). Each brought their current partners at the time into the team, husbands ([[Manpower]] and [[Flashbang]]), and [[Lightstar]]'s girlfriend [[Fleur]]. In large part, the team consisted of people with powers centered around light and energy.
| | ==Trivia:== |
| | | *The Pelham and Dallon families are often used as case studies for research into parahumans and the nature and/or distrubution of powers. |
| The Brigade's only known accomplishment is bringing down [[Marquis]].
| |
| ===The Founding of New Wave:=== | |
| Roughly one year afterward, the Brockton Bay Brigade unmasked before the public and rechristened themselves New Wave. They donned new costumes, with no masks or helmets to obscure their faces. As one of the first public teams, New Wave instantly became national celebrities, with the unfortunate fact that they also fell under heavy public scrutiny.
| |
| | |
| The movement appeared to be taking off, with other teams considering a similar approach, when [[Fleur]] was brutally murdered in her civilian identity. [[Lightstar]] left the team and resumed his concealed identity shortly after. New Wave remains something of a cautionary tale, and one of the only teams that does not draw a clear line between civilian and caped identities.
| |
| ===The Second Generation:===
| |
| As a superteam that is also an extended family, New Wave has several junior members that gained powers of their own. These individuals are nineteen year old [[Laserdream]] and fifteen year old [[Shielder]], the children of Manpower and Lady Photon, and seventeen year old [[Glory Girl]], daughter of [[Brandish]] and [[Flashbang]]. [[Panacea]], the same age as Glory Girl, was revealed to be the daughter of the same villain who was brought down by the Brockton Bay Brigade. She was adopted into the family out of concern that her background would draw too much negative attention or that the foster or adoption processes might be muddled by any number of people wanting to adopt a child who was more likely to have powers (by virtue of having a parent with powers).
| |
| | |
| The Pelham and Dallon families are, due to their known family trees, powers and their dedication to free information, often used as case studies for research into parahumans and the nature or distribution of powers. | |
| ===The Endbringer Attack & Repercussions:===
| |
| Two members of the family, [[Manpower]] and [[Shielder]], were rather brutally killed in the Endbringer attack. Complicating matters further, [[Flashbang]] received a severe head injury with long term effects.
| |
| | |
| According to [[Glory Girl]], the team may disband, as nearly half their members are now out of action, and the family is likely struggling to deal with reduced incomes and caring for [[Flashbang]].
| |
| | |
| [[Glory Girl]] has stated she is considering joining the [[Wards]]. It is unknown what her fellow junior members, [[Laserdream]] and [[Panacea]] intend to do.
