Personality

Always thought a situation could be improved by levity.

Appearance

While he is human he wears a costume with flowing clothing, possibly mimicking the leader of his home Protectorate team Myrddin. He lost an arm due to falling debris.<ref name="I24.y">Interlude 24.y</ref><ref name="24.4"/>

While within his Breaker state Wanton is essentially an invisible telekinetic storm, only visible from the distortions he causes in the air.

Abilities and Powers

Like some Breakers Wanton had an upper limit for the amount of time he spent in his Breaker state. His record was 12 minutes before being forced back, but he would exceed this.<ref name="18.6">Queen 18.6</ref>

Breaker State

Wanton is a Breaker/Changer/Stranger with the ability to turn into a localized telekinetic whirlwind, a ghost for all intents and purposes.<ref name="19.6"/> His form picks up debris and other untethered objects and puts them in orbit around a central point within the storm.<ref name="Cast">Cast (spoiler free)</ref>

He has enough control of this to transport multiple wounded without actually hurting them. He did this by moving them to the furthest part of his range where affected objects rotated the slowest.<ref name="24.4"/>

History

Background

Started his career in the Wards in San Diego, where he was looked after by the inimitable Gully.<ref name="19.3">Scourge 19.3</ref>

Post-Slaughterhouse Nine

Responding to an Class-A threat reported in Brockton Bay, the Chicago Wards team was paired up with [[The Undersiders] to monitor and guard them.

During the Echidna fight, he helped stop Vista clones, but was temporarily kept out of the fight by contamination from radioactive material.<ref name="18.6"/>

He was unable to stop a mad clone from killing his mentor Myrddin, but he did make the aberration pay for it.<ref name="19.6"/>

Post-Echidna

Part of the new Chicago squad that deployed to New Delhi. He lost his hand in the fight.

He was engaged in search and rescue operations in the later stages of the siege. He was able to enter dangerous environments with his Breaker state and assist in his human form.<ref name="24.3">Crushed 24.3</ref>

He would later use his Breaker state to help transport the wounded.<ref name="24.4">Crushed 24.4</ref>

A short time afterwards Wanton participated in the Chicago Wards impromptu welcoming ceremony of their newest member, Weaver.

Post-Timeskip

Assisted Golem in a personal matter of his,<ref name="26.2">Sting 26.2</ref> and when the matter did not become so personal.<ref name="26.5">Sting 26.5</ref>
