Venom is an arc from the Worm series. It is preceded by Cockroaches and followed by Speck.

Summary

Weaver, Tattletale, and the Simurgh travel to Earth Gimel. There, Tattletale helps Vista and others organize transport routes across Earth Bet. Weaver banters with members of the Undersiders and the Chicago Wards.  News breaks that Scion is hitting Earth Samech (A Cauldron controlled Earth), but almost immediately, Scion appears over Gimel. Scion begins decimating the defending force. The Simurgh enters the battle, further terrifying and demoralizing everyone.

Taylor makes her way to Cauldron's complex, where she confronts the Irregulars working with the Custodian , Lung , and even Shadow Stalker in order to escape them. She discovers that the base has been breached through Mantellum's help, and uses Canary to avoid being caught. She encounters the Las Vegas Team and finds that they, too, are here for revenge of a sort on Cauldron. Eventually, she fights them, and they lose, being forced into a chamber where Scion is tearing apart the complex. Eventually, she makes her way down to the central chamber, where Eden's corpse is stored. There she finds five Harbingers, the Number Man, Doctor Mother, Manton and Pretender. Doctor Mother has Weaver's team subdued by the Harbingers, and proposes that she would take a particularly powerul vial in order to hold off Scion. She also explains the purpose of the extreme deviants; their damaged shards were intended to confuse Scion's senses and hold him off while Cauldron prepared other measures. As the Irregulars make their way into the chamber, Scion enters. He shatters every vial, including the one Doctor Mother is holding, ruining any chance she has to slow him down. He carries away Eden's corpse, after destroying her partially-formed avatar. Scion begins to collapse the ceiling of the chamber and close in on Weaver. As a last resort, Weaver's team release Sveta, who throws pieces of Eden's corpse at him in an attempt to distract him. She also kills Doctor Mother and crushes Weaver's arm. Scion leaves, distarught and angry for the first time. As the ceiling collapses, Golem creates a barrier around the group, and Manton uses the Siberian to make it invulnerable. While this happens, Pretender attempts to hold up the collapsing ceiling. Weaver makes her way back to Gimel, where she asks for Panacea or Bonesaw to perform some kind of surgery to alter her power. The chapter ends with Weaver transforming into Khepri.
