The group gets ready for the meeting with Goddess, trying to take every reasonable precaution.

Breakthrough gets "aligned" by Goddess.

They participate in the prison break.

Interspersed through out this book is a flashback to the Vera twins history from their trigger to when Tristan tried to pretend that Byron had been killed.

The final interlude offers a window into the routine of Valkyrie in her constant attempts to remain sane.
