The Parahuman Response Team (or PRT for short) is a police/emergency response team trained to deal with ‘capes’ and the fallout of their altercations. They are established in any city with a meaningful number of capes. This government funded organization has a secondary role in attempting to integrate parahumans into society. In Sentinel 9.1, Director Piggot discusses the PRT's long term plans to acclimatize the public to parahumans in various roles in society, while preventing full blown panic or escalating prejudice against parahumans.
In the field, the PRT use nonlethal weapons, primarily those designed by Dragon, to subdue and contain parahumans and to protect the public. These include grenade launchers with specialized loadouts and containment foam, which may be carried in flamethrower-like packs by a single individual or mounted on a PRT containment van for larger threats.
The same individuals that run the PRT also control the budget of The Protectorate and The Wards. The local PRT Director usually has a say in the decisions these groups make, as well as the equipment, locations and funds available to them.
