Ben Cothran<ref name="PRT1">PRT Quest p64</ref> was a hero who died fighting Leviathan. Taylor tried to save him, but was forced to flee one of Leviathan's waves.<ref name="8.3">Extermination 8.3</ref>

Abilities and Powers

Chubster gained durability and ambient momentum effect at will, tied to consequently loss of mobility .<ref name="list">Wildbow's Parahuman List</ref> Essentially the slower he moved. the tougher he became, with a similer kinetic dampening field around himself while using his power.<ref name="IRC1">Comment by Wildbow on IRC, not archived</ref> This made it difficult for him to recieve CPR when he was unconscious.<ref name="8.3">Extermination 8.3</ref>

His daughter Auroch gained similar abilities.

History

Background

Ben was a hero and member of the Protectorate. He chose his name partly as a joke, because he felt all the good names were already taken. <ref name="PRT1">PRT Quest p64</ref>

Story Start

Chubster participated in the Battle against Leviathan. Skitter found him unconscious and attempted to give him CPR, but she was too weak to move him. She was forced to abandon him in order to flee to safety from an incoming wave, and he was killed.<ref name="8.3">Extermination 8.3</ref>
