Shadow 5.5 is the fifth chapter of Shadow. Advance Guard goes in reverse in a fighting retreat. The future is laid out for everyone. Later the team watches as old adversaries return.

Plot

The battle in Hollow Point comes to a momentary pause due to Capricorn's power; Looksee's reputation with Mayday comes up as Advance Guard and Team Therapy talk. The teams refocus, and Spright and Victoria successfully trap Nailbiter with help from Capricorn's power. Moose breaks through the wall, accompanied by Prancer and Velvet's truck; Sveta successfully takes down Prancer, but Velvet and the other villains continue to pursue the heroes down the road.

After a brief encounter with Mad Anxiety, the heroes reach a stone structure which Capricorn had constructed and prepare to evacuate, but Etna manages to attack with her power, striking Looksee with an orb of molten glass, revealing the young tinker as a projection. Conflict arises among the Hollow Point villains over the use of violence, and Beast of Burden eventually leaves with his group.

Victoria tries to persuade Prancer to disband the villains, warning them of the damage that their planned attack on the Fallen will bring, but Prancer refuses; he acknowledges Sveta and alludes to Circe's group. The negotiation ultimately fails, ending with Rain using the flash gun to blind the Hollow Point villains, allowing the heroes to evacuate.

As they discuss the situation, Mayday attributes Advance Guard's presence in Cedar Point to civilian calls for help, but Victoria remains suspicious. Mayday and Signal Fire explain Kenzie's notoriety in the PRT, for having ruined careers and drawn scrutiny from the Youth Guard. Mayday agrees to stay away from Cedar Point, leaving Team Therapy with a notebook containing information about Prancer's plans.

Back at the team's HQ, Tristan and Victoria talk about Rain's situation and the dynamic with the rest of the group; Tristan confirms that he had intentionally tried to prevent Kenzie from being alone with Rain and Erin. Some hours later, the group watches on the cameras as Circe's group of Case 53s, the Undersiders, and other villains gather in a meeting; Snag confirms the cluster's deal with Tattletale.

Major Events
