Rafael possesses a temporal-experiential collection ability that allows him to access feelings, sensations, reflexes, and experiential data from across his entire lifetime - from birth to death. This creates a comprehensive internal database of every moment he has lived or will live.
Primary Abilities
- Temporal Data Collection: Rafael automatically collects and stores all emotional, sensory, and reflexive experiences from both his past and future timeline. This data is stored in both his conscious and subconscious mind, creating an ever-expanding repository of experiential information.
- Optimal Decision Making: By cross-referencing this temporal database, Rafael can instinctively identify the optimal course of action for any given situation. His power processes thousands of potential scenarios and their emotional/physical outcomes to guide his decision-making process.
- Accelerated Skill Acquisition: Rafael can learn new skills significantly faster than normal humans by accessing muscle memory, understanding, and experience from his future self. This allows him to rapidly develop competencies in areas he will eventually master.
- Technical Engineering: Rafael can create, modify, and repair non-Tinker technology by accessing future knowledge of how devices work, what components are needed, and the precise methodologies required. Unlike Tinker tech, his creations use conventional engineering principles and can be understood and replicated by normal humans.
- Sensory Compensation: When any of Rafael's physical senses are impaired or damaged, he can use his temporal database to emulate normal sensory function by accessing sensory experiences from his past and future timeline. This effectively allows him to "see" through blindness, "hear" through deafness, or compensate for other sensory losses by referencing how those senses functioned or will function at other points in his life.
- Psychometric Emulation: Rafael can perceive residual information about objects and people by accessing temporal data from moments in his timeline when he encountered or will encounter those items/individuals. Limitations
- Mortality Boundary: Rafael can only access experiences from periods when he is alive. His power spans from his birth (a static point) to his eventual death (a fluid endpoint that can change based on his actions).
- Temporal Paradox Vulnerability: Changes to his timeline may create gaps or inconsistencies in his experiential database, potentially causing temporary disorientation or decision-making difficulties.
- Information Overload: Extended use of his power can cause mental fatigue as his mind processes vast amounts of temporal data simultaneously.
- Sensory Dependency: His sensory compensation requires that the impaired sense was functional at some point in his timeline. If born without a particular sense, or if the damage extends beyond his death, compensation may be impossible.
