Background

Personality

Faultline is generally regarded as one of the stronger parahumans in the beginning of the story. She is also one of the better strategic thinkers. She prides herself on her intelligence, which contributed to a continuing rivalry that she has with Tattletale.

Faultline is seen in Gregor the Snail's interlude, trying to find a way to break the Manton effect. Her crew is loyal to her.

Faultline also prides herself on her reputation as a mercenary, and tries to maintain her mercenary activities with a code.

She is also a strict taskmaster, notably when she keeps Newter in line by instructing him to leap onto a wall at less than a moments notice.

She's frustrated by the limitation imposed upon her by the Manton effect. She has a board with things such as wood, metal, stone, plastic and green wood, which she routinely tries to cut coin sized pieces out of all, but fails to cut the green wood.

Appearance

Faultline is twenty-something and sharp-featured with long, wavy black hair. Her constume blends 'dress' and 'riot gear' and, while in costume, she puts her hair into a bun and wears a detachable hairpiece filled with thorns as a 'ponytail'.

Abilities and Powers

Faultline has the ability to separate molecular bonds in any non-living material to make holes or cuts by touching it.
