Entity

The Entities are a race of multiversal creatures the size of planets and the source of parahuman powers.

Background

The entities began life on a world of gray sludge, and evolved the ability to move between universes to the different "versions" of that same world. Over time, this ability allowed them to breed until they had choked out almost all other life on their world, in every universe. Over and over, they fought vicious wars with each other in their attempts to avoid starvation, and each time they did life would come back to some versions of their world while others were left barren.

In time, one of the entities realized that there was only so much time left before every version of their world had been rendered barren, and so proposes the species leave their planet. One last war is fought, and in the end there are only two entities left, each so large their bodies completely cover numerous worlds. They form their bodies into numerous fragments that are themselves smaller entities, then leech away all the heat and energy from all versions of their world and use it shatter their planet and launch the fragments into space like the seeds of a dandelion.<ref>"Worm" Web Serial, Interlude 26.x</ref>

Life Cycle

The entities' life cycle is like that of a virus, "infecting" planets and converting them to more entities, then destroying them to launch themselves to a new planet to they can do it again.<ref>"Worm" Web Serial, Interlude 26.x</ref>
