A riveting villain.

Personality

Nursery described him as "not as scary as you pretend to be ... just a man who's dressing up".<ref name=":0">Daybreak - 1.5</ref>

Relationships

In a group with Lord of Loss, Blindside, Nursery, and Kingdom Come.

Appearance

Snag was heavyset, 250-300 pounds and less than six feet tall. He had long black hair and a thick beard.<ref name=":0" /> He has a raspy voice<ref name=":1"/> generally lowered in a growl.<ref>“Tell me the details,” Snag said, his voice growl-like even when he wasn’t threatening Nursery. </ref> His eyes had dark circles under them that blended into the material of his mask.<ref name=":0" />

He wears what appear to be long-fingered gauntlets, and to have arms long enough that his wrists can brush the ground.<ref name=":1">Daybreak - 1.4</ref>

By way of a costume, he wears metal work boots and a long coat that drapes down to his ankles,<ref name=":1"/> with sleeves modified to reach almost to the floor. His face is covered by a crude mask made of what looks like black clay or melted rubber, covering the skin not concealed by his hair and beard. This gives him the appearance of a neanderthal brow with a permanent glare.<ref name=":0" />

Abilities and Powers

Snag is a grab-bag cape.<ref name=":2"/> He can leap without making the movements necessary to jump,<ref name=":1"/><ref name=":2"/> can stab his hands through drywall as if it were paper<ref name=":0" /> and smash through windows, slats and floorboars with his arms,<ref name=":2"/> and can force negative emotions on people he touches.<ref name=":0" /><ref name=":2">Daybreak - 1.6</ref> He's a tinker, whose creations tend to be robust.<ref name=":2"/>

His emotional attack is accompanied by a mechanical humming from his gauntlets as it charges, but Victoria believed it was likely part of "a full-fledged emotion affecting ability".<ref name=":2"/>

Victoria Dallon speculated that Snag was possibly a changer, tinker, or striker based on his elongated arms, as well as a mover aspect to explain his movements.<ref name=":0" />

Equipment

His arms were at least partly mechanical, and could be damaged or destroyed without injury to him. They would detonate if damaged, creating a powerful charge of negative emotion for those nearby.<ref name=":2"/>

On one occasion a device resembling a gauntlet with attached electronic arm was left behind, presumably by Snag, with clawed fingers embedded in a door and door frame. His group claimed that this device was a bomb and would detonate if the door was opened, but its precise abilities are unknown.<ref name=":0" /> It seems likely that this was a spare of the same extended arms he wears.

He kept chunky, explosive shurikens in his boot. When they detonated, they were accompanied by an emotional charge similar to his gauntlets.<ref name=":2"/>
