16.z (Donation Interlude 3; Marquis) is the thirteenth chapter, and third interlude, of Monarch. A look into the Birdcage, with Marquis and Amelia. Discussion of why they can't escape, and Amelia learns something important, but the Simurgh keeps her from telling anyone.

Plot

The Marquis meets with other cell block leaders while a window into politics within the Birdcage is shown.
