Appearance[edit]
Strider wears a blue and black uniform with a cap.<ref name = "8.1 e1">With a sound like a muffled thunderclap, a half dozen people appeared in the center of the empty lot. When I saw who they were, I was awestruck. That wasn’t hyperbole or whatever, I was using the word awestruck in the original, zero-embellishment sense of the word.
Alexandria stood at the head of the crowd that had just arrived.

Her team – people I recognized but couldn’t necessarily name – followed behind her in a loose formation. Only one man in a blue and black uniform and cap stayed behind in the middle of the parking lot. He looked around for a few moments, then disappeared with a crack and a whoosh, smaller than the one that had brought the entire group there. - Extermination 8.1</ref>
Abilities and Powers[edit]
Strider specializes in mass teleporting,<ref name="Cast1">Strider – A freelance hero who specializes in mass teleporting. - Cast (spoiler free)</ref> apparently able to bring people to the east coast from as far away as Los Angeles, roughly three thousand miles. It is unknown if this was a single 'stride' or a series of continuous ones. He creates a muffled thunderclap of sound on both arrival and departure, and seems to have only a short cooldown time between teleports.<ref name="8.1 e1" /> Being included in his teleport can be somewhat rattling if unexpected.<ref name="8.2 e1">“Strider!” Legend bellowed, over the noise and chaos, “Get us out of here!”
A voice sounding from the armband, female, synthesized, except I couldn’t make it out over the noise.
The air was sucked out of my lungs, and there was a noise like thunder. My entire body was rattled down to the core, and I thought I might have been struck by lightning. I was outside, I realized, on my hands and knees in what I first took to be the middle of a shallow river. - Extermination 8.2

After his death, Miss Militia described him as having been "our best mass teleporter".<ref name="18.4 e1">When I didn’t rise to the challenge, she said, “We’re having a strategy meeting in a matter of minutes. The first phase of the response will be teleporting in momentarily, but our best mass-teleporter died in the Leviathan attack, and the process is slow. I’ll be releasing the rest of the Undersiders to join you soon.” - Queen 18.4</ref>
History[edit]
Strider delivered both Alexandria's and Eidolon's Protectorate teams to the Battle against Leviathan in Brockton Bay.<ref name="8.1 e1" /> At the time, Dauntless described him as having only "recently" been contracted by the PRT.<ref name="II12.none e1" />
When a wave struck the command post, Legend shouted for Strider's assistance and Strider teleported everyone inside to the middle of a nearby road.<ref name="8.2 e1" /> Later, when Leviathan momentarily disengaged from the fight and began traveling at extreme speeds through the floodwater, Strider was one of several capes executed in quick succession.<ref name="8.5">Extermination 8.5</ref> Presumably he was attempting to extract injured capes from the water and got caught unaware. His name was later engraved on a memorial honoring the fallen.<ref name="8.8">Rubbing my sleeves against my arms, I traveled around to the right, to the far side of the memorial, which faced the city.

It was shorter than the other lists, the last list of names, so there was space at the bottom. - Extermination 8.8</ref>
