Scion and Eden aren't the last of their kind as there is at least a third entity that accidentally caused the crash and eventual death of Eden. How many, however, was never mentioned. The virus metaphor used by Tattletale may indicate that they multiply after having consumed a civilization but there is no definite proof of this theory so far.
