Personality[edit]

Concerned with material things, economic.<ref>From Within 16.5</ref> Gets people in debt or hooked on substances then uses this to extract resources from them.<ref>She indicated the trophy rack that was mounted on her back, there were bits of meat, gristle, one eyeball that wasn’t human, and two fingers attached to it. She touched a dead, dried, tailless lizard. “It’s not much, but I’m granting some benefits to everyone in this craft.”

“Wait, those things are real?” Finale asked. “Even those fingers?”

“A neurosurgeon’s fingers.”

“Urgggh, no, that’s so wrong, and gross, and creepy.”

“Those are fresh,” Christopher said. “You actually chopped off a neurosurgeon’s fingers in the last twenty-four hours?”

“He supplied me other fingers before.”
[...]
“What’s going on with that guy?” Sidepiece asked.

“A drug addiction he picked up writing his own scrip before Gold Morning and a terrible debt he got after. I asked him if he wanted to give me a pinky finger or a hundred thousand New Dollars. He gave me the pinky. When people were packing up their things and evacuating the city, he knocked on my door. He wanted to ensure he didn’t go without, offered me everything he owned. I took two more fingers instead.”

“Barbaric,” I noted. - Excerpt from Last 20.2</ref><ref>I felt my eyes adjust to the gloom, which was normal-ish. Then they adjusted more.

“There,” Trophy Wife said.

“Do I want to know where those eyes came from?” Withdrawal asked.
[...]
“Woman couldn’t pay her debt on time, I gave her the choice-” [...] “-gave me her cat.” - Excerpt fron Last 20.3</ref>

Not scared of heights.<ref>Radiation 18.4</ref>

Seems dismissive of humans as opposed to parahumans.<ref>Last 20.2</ref>

Relationships[edit]

Backwoods[edit]

Worked alongside him before joining the nascent Deathchester.

Appearance[edit]

Trophy Wife wears a white fur coat, and has a trophy rack on her back. The trophy rack she wears is full of various animal and human body parts,<ref>Trophy Wife had a white fur coat with a trophy wrack sweeping up from her back, behind her head, with animal parts and what might have been human bits dangling from it. Very intimidating, regal, messed up. I could see why Ashley liked her. - Excerpt from From Within 16.4</ref> likely in various states of rot.

Abilities and Powers[edit]

Trophy Wife collects pieces of organic life, exclusively animals, including humans. Any body part Trophy Wife has near her gives enhancements in the form of beneficial mutations.

Those within fifty feet, or roughly fifteen meters, fall within her aura that grants the same mutations at half strength.<ref name=Intro>“Trophy collects parts, has an aura that grants subtle mutations to people around her based on what she’s collected. She gets the same thing at double strength, just for herself. Nightvision if she tore out a cat’s eyes, manual dexterity if she has some person’s amputated hand, ability to land on her feet if she has a cat’s tail, raw strength if she has a strip of muscle from a large animal, sharpness of nails if she has the claws from someone’s pet cat. She’ll have important ones inside her coat.” - Excerpt from From Within 16.4</ref> There is a transition period before the mutations take effect, which takes some getting used to.<ref name=aura3>“Hate to complain, but I could really do without the nonconsensual mutations,” I said.

“Then stay more than fifty feet away from me,” Trophy Wife said.
[...]
My own aim suffered, because my vision warped, distorting. Trophy Wife had moved to a place where I wasn’t in her range anymore. She granted herself mutations based off of the trophies she’d taken, and she granted lesser effects to people around her. Problem was, that involved a faint transition period, which was fucking with me at a critical moment. The see-in-the-dark mutation was dropping away from my eyes now that I wasn’t in her range. - Excerpt fron Last 20.3</ref>

Trophy Effect
Cat's eyes Night vision<ref name="16.4.2">I turned around, spotted Mockument, and flew toward him.

He was already creating another minion. Pillar raised from the ground, already cracking.

I was trying to be careful to preserve the forcefield. I kept my flight speed controlled to grab the rusty little post-GM car instead of just punching it. To partially push, partially pull, but mostly just to get it from where it sat to Mockument.

I wasn’t going full-bore, so he had time to react. He tried to get out of the way, and he wasn’t quite that fast. He put his mis-proportioned arm out, and he managed to exceed the strength of the forcefield.

Well, for the most part. The forcefield didn’t get tired, and every fraction of a second that passed, Mockument was losing ground. But he did manage to bring feet up and out of the way, so being caught between two cars wouldn’t sandwich and pulverize his legs. Flexible, strong, he had the ability to create minions and the ability to gather information from those minions, because they reflected deeper things about the targets.

I saw his eyes, and I saw the trick. Irises of a different shape beneath that jester mask. That would be Trophy Wife. - Excerpt from From Within 16.4</ref>
Lizard tail Regeneration effect <ref>“Uhh, what about you?” Clockblocker asked Trophy Wife. “Your arm?”

She had some fingers that were pretty badly mangled, bending the wrong ways, broken in multiple places. One of her ears was missing.

"I don’t need anything. I regenerate slowly.” She indicated the trophy rack that was mounted on her back, there were bits of meat, gristle, one eyeball that wasn’t human, and two fingers attached to it. She touched a dead, dried, tailless lizard. “It’s not much, but I’m granting some benefits to everyone in this craft.” - Excerpt from Last 20.2</ref>
Human Doubling effect, specific professions can give skill boosts.<ref name=surg>She indicated the trophy rack that was mounted on her back, there were bits of meat, gristle, one eyeball that wasn’t human, and two fingers attached to it. “A neurosurgeon’s fingers.”
[...]
“He’s contributing more to stop the end of the world than the rest of them,” Trophy Wife said. “Quicker fingers and better hand-eye coordination for me and everyone around me.” - Excerpt from Last 20.2</ref>
Muscle Greater strength dependent on the source.

Equipment[edit]

Has her namesake trophy rack to store parts close to her for the power's effects, some pieces are concealed under her coat.<ref name=Intro/> Some objects seem to function even when dried; others are in a state of visible rot.<ref name=surg/>
