Personality
According to Gallant, she drives like a maniac.<ref>“Battery goes five miles an hour over the speed limit, max,” Gallant murmured. “Challenger rides like a maniac. Kid Win was scared to ride with her, and I was preparing myself to be nice, but… I’m glad I don’t have to.” - Heavens 12.none</ref> She is not a conservative driver and would even pop wheelies with her motorcycle.<ref>The forcefield bubble flickered off. The hue of the sky changed, and that wasn’t just his own perception. With light reflecting off of the bubble, it tinted the clouds above in rainbow hues. The dropping of the bubble was something people across the city would notice. In a way, it signaled that evildoers and criminals should beware.
Challenger roared off, speeding toward the platform’s edge, even before the forcefield path over the water had been fully laid out. Headed to the Boardwalk and the Docks. She popped a wheelie, even.
Battery was next. She sometimes liked to go full speed while they had the clear, straight path over the water, then ride more conservatively in the city, but with Kid Win on board, she was more moderate. - Heavens 12.none</ref>

Appearance
Challenger wore a red bodysuit with epaulettes, and some other decorations. She has a sharp, pronounced chin and dark eyebrows over green eyes.<ref name="II12.none e2">“I’m not good in front of cameras,” Challenger said. She had a red bodysuit with epaulettes that had fine chains dangling from them and other decoration, and with her headgear off, strikingly different facial features, with a very sharp, pronounced chin, lines that joined nose to jaw if she had any expression that wasn’t neutral, and very sharply drawn, black eyebrows over green eyes. Carries an axe and a rifle, that are both as tall as she is. Rides a motorcycle.<ref>“You fly, and you’ll fly off if given the choice,” Challenger replied. She opened a locked case in the wall, and lifted down her axe. A weapon as tall as she was. She held it with one hand and grabbed her rifle, which was similarly proportioned. History
Challenger was a member of the Protectorate. Although it is unknown when she joined the Brockton Bay Protectorate as she was involved in an incident in a past city,<ref name="II12.none e3" /> she was, at the very least, a local member when Victoria Dallon was eight or nine years old.<ref name="II17.3 e1">“Where the hell do I even start?” Kid Win asked. “I never was much of a teacher. There used to be those school events every couple of months where the top students and most improved students would each get one-on-one hang outs with the Protectorate or the Wards for the day, I dunno how much attention you paid to that stuff.”
“Little superhero obsessed Victoria? A lot. There was actually an issue when I won the one year. I was supposed to partner with Challenger but people thought the girl with superhero parents didn’t need the experience.”
Kid Win snorted. “What happened? I don’t even remember Challenger.”
“I gave up my spot. Then I went home and crieeed.”
“Oh no,” he said.

Challenger fought against Lung when he came to Brockton Bay for the first time.<ref>“It was the name of the group I joined when I came to America.”
“See, that’s what I don’t get. You’re a badass, fine. You tested the waters, took on a whole team of local heroes, and you walked away. Right?”
“I fought Armsmaster, Dauntless, Miss Militia, Velocity, Challenger, Assault and Battery,” he said. “Yes.” - Interlude 22.y</ref> She was still on the roster as of 2010 when Kid Win was a member of the Brockton Bay Wards.<ref>“Crack some skulls,” Challenger said, as she fit her headgear into place.
“No,” Battery said. “We avoid trouble while we’ve got the Wards riding along. Or we set a good example.”
Challenger rolled her eye, looking at Aegis, who matched the expression. Good example indeed. She gave Kid Win a push on the shoulder, and he looked uneasy in smile and posture both. - Heavens 12.none</ref> However, she left the team before the events of Worm in April 2011: it is unknown if she transferred to a different city or died.<ref>His posture relaxed. I could imagine seeing their reactions to everything I’d found, telling them about my fight with Bitch, maybe about my part in the fight with Lung, if Armsmaster was cool with that.
